If we have been working on the estate together since 2002,it is only from 2008 that we’re both on deck domain. Damien assures, with two employees (Mathieu and Jean-Remy), the year’s work in the vineyard (from cutting & triming to the harvest) and wine making process (vinification to bottling). On the administrative and business side, it’s Coralie who gets stuck, and today it is better to know everything: accounting, communications, recruitment, labeling, picking and especially promotion of estate wines, in France and worldwide . Exchanges, agreements, disagreements, compromises, working with 4 hands pushes us forward at the Grange Tiphaine

Although he bathed in wine from an early age, Damien wanted to become an airline pilot! But wine has caught up and it’s the vines he finally chose. After our meeting in Bordeaux, on the banks of the DNO, Damien will be formed in Irancy on the Verret domain , then Laroche in Chablis, in St Estephe at Lafon-Rochet, then at Clos Pegase in Napa Valley and finally with me in South Africa. Back in Amboise the adventure begins with the 2002 harvest, then will come the grip of the field and its restructuring in the sense of a wine of terroir, more respectful of nature. A real turn! He teaches courses in wine high school of Amboise, and the IUT of Tours. Whether teacher or winemaker, Damien has in him the need to move forward, share and send. Values that grow each day and push him a little more forward.

After studying biology, Coralie very nearly ended up in the beer business (his childhood in Alsace, perhaps!).But a Master of Oenology wines of Champagne in Reims, then the DNO from Bordeaux bring in the right way. The passages in turn, in one of the oldest importers of organic wines in the USA, Cain Vineyard in California alone, then in South Africa with me, confirmed the desire to work closer to the vines . When we returned to Amboise in 2002, Coralie made the choice to go to work at wine school where she is promoting and marketing of wines of high school. In 2008, she signed her arrival on the estate with a new vintage-like wink “Quatre mains” (four hands) and brings with it an energy, a freshness and a feminine touch that feels good.
